“We want to inspire one million people to volunteer a
day of service to a participating organization in their communities. So
we're celebrating these volunteers' good works by giving each of them a
1-day, 1-theme park ticket to the Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney
World® Resort, free. There's no better time to make a dream come true
for others and let us make a few come true for you.”
The following
information is according to the “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” program,
Team Noodle, and the National MS Society, Georgia Chapter.
How does
the "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." program work?
"Give a Day. Get a
Disney Day." is a program that celebrates and inspires volunteerism.
Disney is working with HandsOn Network to bring you amazing volunteer
opportunities to which you can lend your much-needed services. As a way
of thanking you for your good work, we'll give you a free ticket good
for one day admission to a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® theme park.
You must sign up
with Emily Webb (EmilyWebb@bellsouth.net)
in order to take part in the program. Emily will sign each Team Noodle
Bike MS: Atlanta to Athens 2010 Break Point Volunteers up PRIOR
to the event. Volunteers, who show up on the day of the event without
pre-registering with Emily, will not be eligible for the “Give a Day.
Get a Disney Day.” program.
Please send the
following information to Emily to sign up as a volunteer at the Team
Noodle Break Point: Name, Birthday (yes, with year!), Mailing Address,
Home and Cell Phone Numbers, Email Address, Emergency Contact Name and
Number, and the days you are available to volunteer (Saturday, April 10th
and/or Sunday, April 11th). We need at least 15 volunteers
each day.
After you sign up
with Emily, she will submit your name to Amanda Moran at the MS Society.
The HandsOn Network will verify your service with Amanda. Once they have
verified your service, you will receive an email from Disney prompting
you to log in to your account and print a voucher(s) that may be
redeemed for your free ticket to a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland®
theme park.
Tickets are
non-transferable.
Who can
participate in the program?
Eligible volunteer
opportunities are located in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada
only.
According to Amanda
Moran at the MS Society, children must be at least 10 years of age to
participate as a registered volunteer for the Bike MS: Atlanta to Athens
2010 Break Point to receive a ticket. Children ages 10-17 must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian when volunteering.
If my
family volunteers together, does each family member get a free ticket?
And can they all use their tickets on the same day?
As long as each
family member signs up for and completes an eligible volunteer
opportunity through the program, they may receive a free ticket. You can
choose to redeem and use your tickets on the same day or on separate
days. However, the free Disney theme park ticket is not valid for use on
certain dates. (See below)
Please remember that
the minimum age to participate in the Bike MS: Atlanta to Athens 2010 as
a Break Point Volunteer is 10 years old and that the tickets are
non-transferable.
When does
the "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." program end?
Ticket quantities
for this program are limited. The program will continue until all
tickets are distributed or December 15, 2010, whichever occurs first.
How often
can I volunteer to get a free ticket?
The program is
limited to one ticket per person, regardless of the number of times you
volunteer.
Tickets are
non-transferable.
Which
Disney Theme Parks are the free tickets valid for? Can I use it at a
Disney Water Park?
If you plan to
celebrate at the Disneyland® Resort, you can choose to redeem the
voucher for a 1-day ticket to either Disneyland® Park or Disney's
California Adventure® Park.
If you plan to
celebrate at Walt Disney World® Resort, you can redeem the voucher for a
1-day ticket to any of the following 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom® Park,
Disney's Animal Kingdom® theme park, Epcot® or Disney's Hollywood
Studios™ Park.
Tickets are not
valid for admission to a Disney Water Park admission, DisneyQuest®
Indoor Interactive Theme Park or Disney's World Wide of Sports®Complex.
When is
my free Disney theme park ticket valid for use? Are there any dates I
can't use my ticket?
Your voucher for a
free ticket to enter one of the Disney Theme Parks may be redeemed
through December 15, 2010, and must be redeemed and used on the same
day. Please note, however, that on the following days, you will not be
allowed to redeem your voucher for a free ticket:
Walt Disney World®
Resort in Florida: March 29 - April 8 and July 4, 2010.
Please email Emily
if you have ANY questions!
